Following his huge fight with Stipe Miocic, Daniel Cormier failed at the Championship Match, much to the disappointment of many of his fans. The MMA veteran then called it on his illustrious career during the post-match interview.

Over this retirement announcement, there has been a lot of speculation brewing around Cormier’s arrival to WWE. DC and WWE have had a constant connection over the years.

“You know I’ve talked to WWE on a number of occasions. They want to work together,” reveals DC. “I’ve got that heading offer to work the new show to have WWE Backstage on FOX. Honestly, it didn’t work with the new relationship with ESPN. But I mean we are constantly trying to find ways to get me involved in the product.”

It’s no surprise that DC is a big fan of WWE and its work. Now that his schedule has been cleared big time, he can finally make a lot of dreams come true by joining WWE and igniting a feud with some Superstars.

Obviously, the top of the list belongs to “The Beast Incarnate” Brock Lesnar. DC and Lesnar had a heated feud during the latter’s time in UFC, and its only right that they continue it in WWE.

WWE followed a similar storyline pattern a few years ago with Cain Velasquez, so there’s nothing stopping the writers from setting up this one as well.

Bobby Lashley could benefit immensely against Daniel Cormier

Next, every fan would love to see a feud between Bobby Lashley and DC. Throughout his career in WWE, Lashley has been criminally undervalued. His great potential and superior athleticism are being put to waste with lower card matches.

A feud with DC could give him the huge elevation he needs. “The All-Mighty” can finally main event WrestleMania through this storyline and reach the heights he needs.

Another prominent name on the list is Seth Rollins. “The Monday Night Messiah” is a good friend of DC, so the two will do well working together.

DC could make his big WWE debut by challenging the reign of Rollins on Raw. Nothing will make the fans like him more than beating Seth Rollins after all the recent events. DC will also entertain the thought of this feud.

Matt Riddle? I could surely see it happening. With Riddle leaving UFC on bad terms and DC on his own, the two can challenge each other for a major feud.

Although Riddle may not be quite ready for a major title, he can bridge that gap by defeating DC and cementing his reputation as a fighter.

Other possible storylines could include Braun Strowman, Samoa Joe, and Roman Reigns. DC could make an immediate impact on arriving in WWE. If he does decide to take up the new journey, we will be waiting for him with open arms.
