However, there’s also a section who doesn’t believe that there’s any legitimacy behind his decision. Can we really blame them?

The Dead Man’s retirement has been used as a storyline tool so many times, that it has almost become meaningless. Now, when it seems like Taker is finally hanging up his boots, fans are having a hard time buying it.
CM Punk is one of those people. As per the Straight Edge Superstar, there were many opportunities in the past where an Undertaker retirement would have held a lot more meaning and impact.
Doing it through a documentary just doesn’t seem like a grand exit that The Undertaker deserves.
CM Punk thinks that The Undertaker is coming back at WrestleMania
One of the reasons why The Undertaker had a great match against AJ Styles at WrestleMania was that it wasn’t being carried by in-ring performances.
The added effects along with a cinematic feel made it pretty easy for Taker to maintain the grandeur of his character without exposing his diminishing in-ring acumen.

CM Punk revealed his thoughts in an interview with Ben Ennis and JD Bunkis on The Good Show.
“I don’t think he’s retired, come on (laughs). That’s my first reaction. There’s no way. This is a guy who can and most likely will, in my opinion, at least make an entrance every Wrestlemania. You know, what I mean. They just did the whole movie match type thing, I like to call it as I called it backstage on Fox. And I think it can add longevity to his career. I don’t see him go anywhere, he’s a guy who in recent years has gone away and popped back up so it’s just so unceremonious to have a documentary where every episode he retired and then unretired and then in the end he says he’s retired again.”
“Terry Funk, Ric Flair, everyone retires and comes back. You know, selfishly everyone wants to see him come back.”
We agree with CM Punk that this was not the best way to retire a legend.
However, do we really need to see The Undertaker wrestle one more match against his will?

The answer will certainly be to the contrary. The Undertaker made it abundantly clear that he has no wish of stepping back into the squared circle.
He’s completely satsified with the way he is going out.
Considering the years of entertainment that he has provided us, it would be unbecoming as fans to force him to don his gear just because we weren’t satisfied with the way he went out.
