CM Punk made a return to the WWE Backstage after Monday Night RAW. He talked about Becky Lynch’s pregnancy and how Asuka was given the title. Punk’s statements created a lot of buzz over the internet.

Becky Lynch announced her pregnancy with fiance Seth Rollins on RAW. She then relinquished the title and bequeathed the RAW Women’s Championship to Asuka. Only the previous night, Asuka climbed the ladder to win the Money in the Bank event.

Punk gave his thoughts on the current scenario in the Women’s division, with Becky Lynch out of the picture. He responded, “There is obviously a void. The void needs to be filled. So, its next women up, which I always like. I love that environment. It is a healthy competition.”

“Nobody is ready for Asuka”-CM Punk

CM Punk also expressed his opinion regarding the new RAW Women’s Champion Asuka and what he would have done in the same situation.

“Personally, I think that it’s a missed moment, a missed opportunity to have the little lovey-dovey moment. Oh, Asuka’s all like very happy for you, congratulations. And then, MIST! Right in the face! I think that they really missed out on that. That’s what I would have done. And then the vacuum and that void is filled, you know. You have this monster, evil women at the top of the Women’s division and everybody’s chasing her, they want revenge for Becky, they want the title. Can they stop Asuka? Nobody’s ready for Asuka.”

CM Punk’s idea of how WWE should have made use of the opportunity seems appealing to most. It would have given Asuka a solid heel role. As Punk said, other female superstars could have cashed in on this by proceeding with emotional revenge for Lynch’s story.

If not Asuka, then WWE Women Superstars such as Charlotte Flair or the current sensation Shayna Baszler could take up the spot left by Lynch. Maybe it’s time Stephanie or Vince take notes from Punk.

Meanwhile, in other exciting news, CM Punk may return to in-ring action soon. Fans believe Punk is the mysterious hacker that has been teased. WWE could head in a whole new direction with Punk’s return.
