Cody Rhodes Details Triple H’s “Really Nice” Advice During His Rehab From Injury

Cody Rhodes announced his return with a victory. The whole community cheered for the 2023 Royal Rumble champion, who had made a successful comeback from his injury. However, many are unaware of the crucial role Triple H played to get him back to full fitness. In a recent interview gloating about his success, Rhoades gave away the valuable words of wisdom that The Game imparted to him during his tough period. Of course, it worked as evident from Rhoades’ face filled with pride.

Cody Rhodes understood the meaning of progress

The record-tying three-time AEW TNT champion shared the advice of Mr. H gave him when he was struggling to cope with his injury. After he suffered a torn pectoral muscle injury in June 2022, Paul Michael Levesque told him to start from scratch and to take it slow.

Rhodes said, “One thing that Triple H had told me, having experienced a lot of injuries and being able to come back successfully from it, was set little goals for yourself, little goals. The big goal, obviously, is get to the dance, right? But the little goal is to lift, you know, six pounds instead of three today, do ten reps instead of eight.” in an interview with WWE’s The Bump.

Since the battle-hardened sage is well acquainted with injuries in his long-withstanding wrestling career, The King Of Kings can share guidance with an authority.

Upon hearing this advice, something clicked for Rhodes, who implemented it in his routine. But, one thing held the American Nightmare from working out.

After the injury, Cody Rhodes felt strange about working out. But he had to overcome it to proceed with his professional career. But starting off with small steps encouraged the wrestler to take a leap forward. Rhodes shared, “But also, I was trepidatious about even that because working out is what got me in trouble in the first place. But, that was a really nice, a nice thing was little goals.”
