WrestleMania is one of the biggest nights in wrestling. While fans adore stars in the ring, countless emotional moments that are hidden backstage often go unnoticed.  Like the iconic moment between Undertaker and Shane McMahon at Wrestlemania 32. For some, these emotional moments can be when a star wins a much-anticipated match. However, some people hold a whole different story altogether. WrestleMania 39 had a couple of such emotional moments.

There were untold stories that left a deep impression on everyone associated with the event. One, in particular, was when Cody Rhodes shared a moment with his extended ‘family’ that reminded everyone of the good qualities of the star. His actions did not go unnoticed and a lady of significant importance to him came out in support.

The former WWE star’s wife can’t thank Cody Rhodes enough

Rhodes’ father was pulled out from a financial crisis with the help of Paul Heyman. So, the wrestler considers it his duty to help other stars. The American Nightmare was one of the founding members of AEW. Due to this, he had a good amount of control when it came to introducing as well as mentoring new members in AEW. The Late Brodie Lee was also introduced into AEW by Rhodes. The American Nightmare helped Lee and ultimately his family by providing him with an open opportunity to perform for the rising promotion. Lee passed away in the year 2020. Due to the bond, he shared with him and his family, Rhodes takes good care of the late wrestler’s son by mentoring him. 

An emotional moment manifested itself on live TV when Rhodes gave his weight belt as a souvenir to Brodie Lee Jr. before stepping into the ring. Lee’s wife Amanda was so moved by this act of kindness that she took to Twitter and mentioned, “I am legitimately crying. The way he looks at him. The way they look at each other. Words can’t express how special Cody Rhodes is to us. He made Brodie safe on the worst day of his life. I can never ever repay his love or friendship.”
