Cody Rhodes is currently one of the most popular and trending superstars in the entire WWE. His fan-following and popularity are beyond imagination. Rhodes has won over the entire wrestling fraternity with his good looks, wrestling skills, charisma, and impressive mic skills.

However, during his first run in WWE, he was not the top guy. Despite belonging to a respectable wrestling family, Cody Rhodes was never seen as a main-eventer during his first run at the company. The 37-year-old would later call it quits from WWE and forge his career elsewhere.

It was his career and accomplishments outside of WWE that helped him establish himself as a main-eventer player. Rhodes would travel around the globe, conquer various wrestling promotions, and earn a name for himself.

In his interview with Graves, he revealed an incident when he was traveling with the company. And, during one such travel, he saw a bus with Cena and The Rock’s face on it from their second ‘Mania match. This, however, caused Rhodes to snap.

The American Nightmare said, “This story from the John versus Rock The Saga and was wonderful. But when you’re on the card, not close to that. And then my level I had been chipping away a little bit. “

He claimed that he would throw a voohoo bottle on The Rock’s face on the bus. Rhodes said, “I just was getting so upset and I told her(Brandi Rhodes) ‘I can’t keep looking at the same guys, I can’t. I got out of the car and I threw a yoohoo glass bottle up against beautiful Dwayne Johnson’s face.”

He further stated that he wanted to fight the giant head of Dwayne Johnson on the side of the bus.

Although Rhodes was not getting a push, seeing the others such as John Cena receive a push made him furious. However, he still stuck to his beliefs, and saw John Cena as his role model. However, during his tough times early on in his career, his wife, Brandi Rhodes, was always with him and stood by his side.
