In fact, according to a recent report from Mike Johnson of PWInsider, Cody is internally listed as the number two babyface for the red brand of WWE.
Former WWE Champion Bobby Lashley is reported to be the number one babyface for WWE Raw. And AJ Styles is occupying the third spot according to the report.
Bobby Lashley also recently returned to WWE Raw. Previously, Lashley has been involved in major feuds against top stars like Brock Lesnar and Goldberg.
During his feud against Goldberg and Big E last year, we saw Lashley playing the heel character.
But now it looks like the WWE Universe will get to see Lashley as a babyface. ‘The Almighty’ is currently involved in a feud with Omos.
Coming back to Cody Rhodes, in his first appearance on WWE Raw, Cody clarified he wants to compete for the WWE Championship. It might be a matter of time till we see him in a title picture.
But for now, Cody is scheduled to once again compete in a match against Seth Rollins at WWE WrestleMania Backlash.
