Vince McMahon’s protégé Austin Theory (shortened name Theory) challenged Finn Balor for the WWE United States Championship. The 24-year-old, who has been under the guidance of Vince McMahon since October 2021, has tried his level best to impress ‘The Boss’. Although he has impressed in flashes, he finally saw success on the April 18 edition of Raw.

Theory defeated Finn Balor in a fair and square contest to become the brand new WWE United States Champion. The 24-year-old captured a championship in WWE for the first time.

The WWE Universe could not believe that Vince McMahon’s favorite defeated Finn Balor to win his first Championship. Following Theory’s US Championship victory, Celtic Alexander, Alpha Academy (Chad Gable & Otis), and some other WWE Superstars joined him to celebrate his victory.

These WWE superstars lifted the new US Champion on their shoulders to celebrate until Vince McMahon entered. The 24-year-old made his way to Mr. McMahon and celebrated his US championship win by taking selfies with the WWE Chairman.

One fan believes McMahon should continue to invest in Theory as he could be a World Champion someday.

“The video package before the match, superstars celebrating with him after the win, and then Vince McMahon coming out to celebrate as well. He is the real deal. Continue to invest in him,” Christian mentioned.

“The first of many titles for Theory in WWE, Vince McMahon clearly has big plans for the 25-year-old. This is just the beginning for him, he’s a world class talent,” Raphael Wilson tweeted.

Hygor Hubner expressed his genuine emotions at Mr. McMahon’s big push for Theory.

“I’m not gonna lie. I’m actually impressed with how much effort they’re putting into Theory’s push. It’s been a while since they gave someone this much of a treatment,” Hubner said.

Is Mr. McMahon pushing Austin Theory to become a World Champion?

Mr. McMahon has taken Theory under his wing and pushed the 24-year-old superstar to reach the top. Considering this fact, wrestling fans believe that Austin Theory is the modern-day Randy Orton.

“It’s finally happening,” ya’ll have short memories. Theory took a selfie with Vince McMahon last November,” Wilson said.

Austin Theory has been trying to shine in the eyes of Mr. McMahon since October 2021; he finally proved his worth to the WWE Boss.

At the Most Stupendous WrestleMania 38, Theory had Mr. McMahon in his corner when he battled Pat McAfee. Even though Theory did not win his battle against McAfee, he indeed had a WrestleMania moment.

Vince McMahon introduced and referred to Theory as the “Future WWE Universal Champion.”

The 24-year-old took a huge step towards that goal as he won the United States Championship tonight.
