Ever since backstabbing Becky Lynch and turning heel on the April 10 episode of Raw, Trish Stratus has left no stone unturned to humiliate The Man. Much of her success, however, was due to Lynch’s absence. This augured well for the WWE Hall of Famer as she made fun of the former Women’s Tag Team Champion’s missing status by printing posters and garments.

On May 8, Stratus dragged the Irish wrestler’s daughter into their feud during her promo on Raw. Moments later, she was made to pay by Lynch, who sneaked up on her.

Appearing backstage on Raw, fans saw Stratus plastering Becky Lynch ‘missing’ posters and handing out leaflets. She also wore a top that carried the same message. During her promo, the seven-time WWE Women’s Champion said Lynch is probably spending her time miserably in Iowa, where the latter stays with her pro-wrestler husband Seth Rollins and their daughter Roux.

“…probably in some dark, dank corner in Iowa, crying in the corner with her dumb daughter,” Stratus predicted Lynch’s whereabouts. This elicited boos from the crowd, which forced the 47-year-old to reiterate her point. “What? No. She is dumb. Guys, she doesn’t even know her colors. She is two. Hello!” she added.

Ignoring the boos, Stratus next picked on the spectators for cheering the 36-year-old. She said Lynch won’t be coming to Raw as it was Stratus’s show and spotlight. The comment didn’t age well as Becky Lynch’s entrance music played, resulting in a massive cheer from the crowd. But it turned out to be a prank from the heel. However, when the music played a second time, she requested it to be stopped, saying the joke was over.

Lynch, by then, was standing behind her, waiting to attack. When Stratus turned, the 36-year-old paid her back in full for the treatment she had received on April 10. The Man hit the Canadian native with the ‘Becksploder’, throwing her out of the squared circle. WWE has drafted both Lynch and Stratus into its red brand in the recent picks, hinting that the two could have a continued feud.

But what exactly kicked off this feud especially with the amicable nature of their relationship just months back?

There is no doubt that Becky Lynch is one of the most popular female wrestlers currently active. The 36-year-old became the WWE’s Sixth Women’s Triple Crown Champion in 2023, after winning the Women’s Tag Team Champion, alongside Lita, from Dakota Kai and Iyo Sky of Damage CTRL. That victory, however, was short-lived.

Just days after helping Lynch and fellow Hall of Famer Lita to defend their titles against Damage CTRL’s Kai, Sky, and Bayley at WrestleMania 39, Stratus revealed her true colors. She partnered with the 36-year-old for a title match against Raquel Rodriguez and Liv Morgan on Raw. Morgan managed to pin the 7x WWE Women’s Champion to pick up the victory and the titles. It was a double whammy for Lynch as Stratus attacked her, turning heel for the first time in 18 years.

In the following week, she admitted losing intentionally to screw Lynch out of her title. She also admitted attacking Lita backstage, which forced the change in line-up for the match. Lita was originally set to partner with Lynch for their title defense. The 47-year-old said she was titled with being a sidekick and was appalled to see the lack of respect Lynch had for her. Stratus also proclaimed herself as a pioneer for the women’s division during the promo, telling fans she was no nostalgic act.
