Drew McIntyre‘s title reign never seemed to be under threat. His matches against the likes of Bobby Lashley, Seth Rollins and Dolph Ziggler were very good, but they didn’t even come close to dethroning the ‘Scottish Psychopath.’ Even Randy Orton could not convince the WWE Universe that he can steal the title from McIntyre.
McIntyre needs to face someone who can legitimately put him down for the count. It is likely that Drew will walk out of Hell in a Cell with the title intact, but the post-match scenes might shock everyone.

The Fiend introduces himself
Imagine the following scenario: Kicking Orton’s head off and pinning him, Drew looks ready to leave the arena only for the lights to go off. All of a sudden, ‘The Fiend’ is standing in the ring, hovering over the broken body of Randy Orton. Wyatt hits Orton with a Sister Abigail and locks in the Mandible Claw, while maintaining eye contact with the WWE Champion.

Wyatt has unresolved issues with the Viper. The latter was part of the Wyatt family, before winning the Royal Rumble and beating him for the WWE Championship at WrestleMania 33. The match was one of the worst matches in WrestleMania history, and what followed wasn’t great either. The lesser said about the House of Horrors match the better.
The rivalry with Orton really took the shine off of Bray Wyatt. His title win at Elimination Chamber was a career defining moment and Orton more-or-less trampled over his momentum. The fans quickly lost interest in Wyatt and he made the move to Raw.

This backstory gives enough impetus for Wyatt to go after Orton first in order to get to Drew McIntyre. The Fiend vs the Viper would be a terrific match for Survivor Series, and it builds anticipation for his eventual match with the WWE Champion.
The Fiend is the only wrestler on Raw who could take the title from McIntyre. There’s no better place than Hell in a Cell for Bray Wyatt to introduce himself to Drew McIntyre.
