WWE Superstar Dolph Ziggler has had quite a career in WWE. Beginning as “The Show-off”, he has grown to be one of the biggest trash talkers in the business. He can even be compared to the likes of Miz on this.

Recently sparking a feud against WWE Champion Drew McIntyre, Dolph sees himself as a major competitor for the title soon. He and Sasha Banks managed to pull off a victory against the tag-team of McIntyre and Asuka in a Challenger vs Champion match.

This means that using his own tactics, Ziggler could possibly beat Drew McIntyre and take the title for himself. This would of course be a major upset since McIntyre is a fan-favorite.

Dolph Ziggler has been compared a lot to a young Shawn Michaels because of the swagger in his step. However, his personality makes him a much more interesting character. He can now be compared to the likes of Chris Jericho in the Attitude Era.

Fans have criticized WWE over the past few months for not using Ziggler up to his full potential. They have pegged him as another talent wasted by McMahon.

Many expected AEW to make an offer. Ziggler stayed true to his roots and signed a contract extension with WWE instead. It seems now that Ziggler has finally received a good storyline that could boost his career up.

The McIntyre storyline is a breath of fresh air for Dolph Ziggler

However, Ziggler needs to be a more consistent face in the main events in order to reach the heights that he is capable of reaching. His notoriety reached peak levels when he imitated the entrances of WWE legends such as The Undertaker, Shawn Michaels, Triple H, and The Ultimate Warrior.

Despite being disrespectful, it was a classic bad guy move. Even though Ziggler got the hate needed for his character, WWE couldn’t find a place to channel all this energy. Ziggler eventually fizzled out.

This quarantine period has given WWE a chance to sit down and map out the available storylines and figure out which piece to play where. It seems that Ziggler may have a big moment if he somehow manages to upset fans by beating Drew McIntyre and winning the title.

Drew McIntyre himself has faced a score of challengers since winning the title at WrestleMania. Proving himself, he has beaten all of them and stands tall. Whether or not Ziggler may just be gum stuck on his boot is what we will soon find out.

For now, “The Showoff” has to put the money where his mouth is and get ready to face McIntyre for the title.
