Prior to announcing his retirement, there was an ongoing investigation on Vince McMahon, which is yet in process. A few days back, a report came out claiming additional $5 million NDA payments were being done by Mr. McMahon.

Moreover, the report also claimed unrecorded company expenses went to Trump’s charity, the Donald J. Trump Foundation, in 2007 and 2009. Recently, a wrestling legend gave his opinion on the current matter.

A couple of days back, on Story Time with Dutch Mantell, the wrestling legend talked about the new report on Vince McMahon‘s hush money payments. He claimed the media just wanted something on Donald Trump.

Mantell said, “Well, the main key to that is one name, Donald Trump. The reason I think they’re bringing him into it and it could be true. They don’t know, they’re investigating it. But the media, I don’t think, will highlight that term “investigating” so much as it has been claimed, like it’s a fact.”

He added, “So they’re saying that Vince wrote cheques to the Donald Trump Foundation that didn’t really go to the Donald Trump Foundation. That was really sent to that woman to keep quiet.”

Mantell again highlighted that the main key is the name Donald Trump. He stated that the media needed something on the former United States President as they hate Trump. He gave an example of how non-wrestling fans won’t care about Mr. McMahon paying hush money to someone. However, if Trump’s name is added, then everyone’s over it.

He also said, “What I’m trying to say is the media missed Donald Trump. They missed him. And even coming back now, they have covered him 24 hours a day, almost like he was president.”
