Dwayne Johnson Achieves a Massive Milestone in Hollywood

The COVID-19 Pandemic has set forth many challenges. The movie industry, in particular, has faced loss worldwide, with many films pushed back or shelved. However, according to a Forbes list, top 10 highest-paid actors have managed to accumulate a combined amount of $545 million in 2020. After last year, Dwayne Johnson again tops this year’s rankings.
According to the reports, The Rock has earned almost $87.5Million, including the cheque of $23.5 million for Netflix’s upcoming thriller project, Red Notice. His Red Notice co-star, Ryan Reynolds, is second on the list with $71.5 million.

This proves how the rise of streaming services like Netflix has boosted the earnings of actors.
Johnson’s next movie, Jungle Cruise, was scheduled to be released on July 24 this year.
However, the adventure film got postponed due to the pandemic and is now rescheduled to release on July 30 next year.
Dwayne Johnson earns from diverse sources
Apart from the movies, The Rock earns significant money from his fitness clothing line, Project Rock. He is also the third most followed person on Instagram with 193 Million followers. He gains brand endorsements from there as well.
When it comes to WWE, The Rock announced his retirement from professional wrestling in August 2019. Still, he made a brief appearance on Smackdown’s 20th anniversary episode on October 4.

Forbes is yet to publish the top paid actresses list, which was topped by Scarlett Johansson last year. This year, Rock and Reynold’s Red Notice co-star Gal Gadot is expected to be ranked higher. Last year, the wonder woman star was on the 10th spot with $10million.
