You never talk back to superheroes. They know what they’re doing and why they’re doing it. So, when Dwayne Johnson, aka Black Adam, says he’s doing something, there’s a reason.
It so happened that Erik Davis took to social media to exclaim that Black Adam saying “well I do” when told “heroes don’t kill people” is an exhilarating moment. To this, a user responded by saying that superheroes such as Batman, Aquaman, and others have killed people.
“Heroes don’t kill people…”
“Well I do”
DAAAMMNN! The first #BlackAdam trailer is dark, dangerous & badass. Ends with Black Adam catching a rocket with his bare hand & watching it explode around him. @TheRock says there’s black & white, but this film operates more in the grey. pic.twitter.com/wkRJlkCesh— Erik Davis (@ErikDavis) April 27, 2022

As a result, saying “heroes don’t kill people” is a null statement. This is when Dwayne Johnson stepped in to defend Black Adam’s character.
He clarified that once everyone sees the movie, they’ll understand the depth of the sentence. Right now, it’s too early to judge Black Adam’s ruthlessness. There’s a story that needs to be heard and known to understand why Black Adam kills people.
Once you watch Black Adam you’ll understand the context of the line. It makes sense.
The mythology of Teth/Black Adam.
Ruthless with zero regard.— Dwayne Johnson (@TheRock) April 27, 2022
It’s only a matter of time before fans will be able to see what Black Adam’s story is. Considering Dwayne Johnson is Black Adam, it’s already one of the most anticipated superhero films.
Black Adam is the first time Dwayne Johnson will be a superhero
The People’s Champ has previously taken on roles that are action-dominated in movies such as San Andreas, Fast & Furious franchise, Skyscraper, and others. On the other hand, he has done movies where humor meets action such as Red Notice, Jumanji films, Central Intelligence, and so on.
However, he has never taken on a superhero role. Black Adam will be his debut in that genre, and undoubtedly his fans are quite excited to see how he executes it.

While Johnson has often taken roles that allow him to show his combat sports personality, he has never shied away from challenges. Black Adam was different and, perhaps, challenging too; he did not decline the role.
