“I’ve Been There”: The Rock Opens Up on Mental Health With an Emotional Post

In recent years, people from all around the world have acknowledged and spoken about mental health. Many celebrities from around the globe have often shared their issues with mental health. One individual who has often talked about the same is WWE legend, Dwayne “The Rock” Johnson.

Once again, The Rock opened up about Mental Health in his recent post. On Instagram, The Rock posted a reel about mental health awareness.

The posted clip is from The School Of Greatness Podcast where Jay Glazer and podcast host Lewis Howes discuss the biggest thing Glazer has learned from Rock. Glazer Stated, ‘‘That dude [The Rock] thinks he’s going to be broke next week.’’

‘‘He literally thinks he’s going to have seven bucks in his pocket again next week. And for me, where it’s special, here is the biggest star in the World, and yet we call each other and send each other notes and lean on each other for mental health almost every day.’’

In the caption, The Rock mentioned, that he understands since he has struggled with mental health previously. Furthermore, he said, “One of the most important things people who might be struggling with mental health need to know is that they’re not alone in the fight. Be there for ‘‘em. Offer your hand and your back. It’s what we do. Pull each other up, dust our shit off and come back stronger.”

Additionally, Jay stated that The Rock believes Jay Glazer’s book would assist a lot of people and will help future generations.

Dwayne Johnson isn’t the only WWE superstar to talk about mental health issues

Big E, the former WWE, Intercontinental, and Tag Team Champion, has suffered from mental illness. Big E is currently out of action due to injuries.

However, Big E also confessed on Pat McAfee’s show that he has struggled with depression since he was a child: ‘‘It took me a long, long time. I try my best to never tell anyone, ‘this is the way you need to go to overcome mental illness.”

‘‘We all have our own paths and what works for us. What worked for me; at 19 years old, I had a coach of mine, Rod Akin, who essentially forced me to go talk to someone. In many ways, it really saved my life. Even then, it took a while for me to get into the process”

Big E claims to have started meditating for at least 12 minutes every day. He has benefited from incorporating regular spiritual practices into his life.

In Addition, while talking to SI.com. Alexa Bliss also opened up about her mental health issues.

 Bliss stated, “Dealing with eating disorders, anxiety, and depression, I’m no stranger to mental illness. Every few years, I deal with a really bad spell of depression. You have to know it doesn’t have to overtake your life.”

“Mental illness can dictate someone’s entire life. I put myself in a position to be in the public eye, but I’m doing what I love. I’ve gone to therapy, I’ve done everything I can do to get my brain in a healthy place.”
