Dwayne Johnson Once Stepped into Johnny Depp’s Shoes To Make A Statement

Dwayne Johnson has the biggest fan following worldwide for his acting and his tenure in WWE. Whether being a professional wrestler or making movies in Hollywood, Johnson has slain both to become a top superstar.

Some of the highest-grossing works are the five Fast and Furious Saga movies of which he was a part. Also, movies like Jumanji, Moana, etc. are famous among the fans and were top-grossing films.

The critics well acclaimed the Disney movie Moana which was highly adored by the fans, especially the children. In this movie, Johnson has given his voice to the character Maui.

Dwayne Johnson wanted to be a part of Pirates of the Caribbean Franchise

Even though Dwayne Johnson has made top-grossing movies, there is one movie franchise he wanted to do. Last year while promoting Disney’s Jungle Cruise, Dwayne Johnson shared his wish of making a film similar to or to work in the Pirates of the Caribbean Franchise. Also, he was ready to wear the eyeliner like Johnny Depp in those movies.

Johnson shared this on Instagram with a long caption. The caption said, “Been a real (humbling) joy to share how JUNGLE CRUISE has been a 20 year career dream come true.20yrs ago I went to watch my first starring role THE SCORPION KING in theaters and saw the PIRATES OF THE CARIBBEAN trailer and I was instantly inspired and motivated to work my a** off.”

The wrestler turned actor was always aspired to do a movie related to pirates ever since his Hollywood debut. He got a chance to do so when he acted in Jungle Cruise. This movie was said to be similar to the Pirates of the Caribbean before its release.

In the video we can see Johnson’s co-star Emily Blunt asking, “I wish if you’d worn Johnny Depp’s eyeliner” “That would look cool”. Dwayne Johnson said, “I can”. At the end of the video he shared, we can see a glimpse of Dwayne Johnson in an edited Johnny Depp’s Pirates of the Caribbean costume and iconic eyeliner.

Is Johnson doing the role of Genie on Aladdin 2?

The WWE wrestler turned actor of the biggest star today. In his career, he has done approximately over 40 films, of which two were by Disney. However, it seems the Disney franchise is ready to sign Johnson for one more mega-movie.

The Oscar Awards incident had landed a 10-year Oscar Awards entry ban for Will Smith. This was sad news for Will Smith before another worrisome news came in. A few days earlier, there were rumors that Will Smith could lose his memorable role of Genie in the sequel of the movie Aladdin to Dwayne Johnson.

Johnson is currently a top-tier actor and many massive projects are flowing in his way. Although there is no confirmation on the role yet, it is highly possible that if Disney changes the actor for the role, ‘The Great One’ would be the next Genie in Aladdin.
