Dwayne Johnson Reveals Reasons Behind Acquiring XFL from Vince McMahon

It is no secret that long before making his WWE debut, Dwayne Johnson wanted to be a football player. Unfortunately, he could not achieve any heights in football as compared to the greatness he acclaimed in the world of pro-wrestling and in the acting world.

Dwayne Johnson recently posted an emotional tweet regarding a former XFL player who has now made it to NFL. Through this tweet, The Great One wants to express the essence of the league he recently purchased.

The story is about quarterback PJ Walker.

The Great one has made his intentions very clear. He wants to give chances and a platform to all football players. Players that never got chances in the big leagues will get a chance to make a name in XFL.

The Helmets have arrived at the office of Dwayne Johnson

A few days back, Dwayne Johnson took to Instagram to show-off the helmets of all the eight-franchises participating in the XFL this year, set up in his office. Johnson emphasized on his mission to help young footballers achieve their dreams.

Dwayne Johnson’s former boss, Vince McMahon, had rebooted the XFL in 2018. Unfortunately, it shut down five weeks later due to the Pandemic and filed for bankruptcy a year later.

Dwayne Johnson, with ex-wife Danny García and RedBird Capital, revived the league once again this year. Johnson, along with his partners, purchased the league for a whopping $15 million.
