Tattoos are one of the most intimidating things on a wrestler’s body. The psychological battle is already won if one sees tattoos on a beastly body walking towards the ring. That’s one of the reasons why The Undertaker has been a domineering presence.

These tattoos, most of the time, have personal significance to the wrestler and have meaning behind them.

The Undertaker’s tattoos are also very important to him. The Deadman has so many of them that it’s hard to really see each one clearly unless you examine his arms.

The Undertaker himself broke down each tattoo to clarify the doubts.

1.Arms

The Undertaker is a big fan of medieval and gothic themed designs. If looked at closely, you will see that his arms are a collage of them. The designs are of skulls, wizards, and demons that are mixed together to give a continuous effect.

It’s probably safe to assume that The Undertaker’s arms have been dipped in the Styx. Most of the creatures are from ancient lore and are all in the dark and grey style.

They all kind of run together through the years. I got one on my left arm and one on my right arm. I got two big ones, one on each arm and few scattered here and there,” says Taker. “Every once in a while I find the time and get the motivation to go sit in there and get a little ink but I am not nearly as motivated as I once was”

The Undertaker has many tattoos on his arms, some carved over the others. The most prominent of these tattoos is the Grim Reaper and the ‘Thinking Demon’.

2.Neck

Front

The Undertaker once had the name of his first wife Sara engraved onto the front of his neck. This was a gesture to show her how much he loved her.

It is one of the most painful tattoos a person can get, and Taker agrees to that.

“The one on my throat? Yeah, it tickled a little,” jokes Taker. “It was one of the shorter settings I ever had, but it was pretty intense. When it came across Adam’s apple area, I knew where he (the tattoo artist) was at. Fortunately for me, I have a very high threshold of pain. To some extent, I guess I enjoy it. But it’s not for the weak at heart.”

The tattoo became prominently visible during Taker’s “American Badass” phase. However, he covered it up after his first marriage ended in 2007.

Back

The Undertaker has the figure of a ‘fighting skeleton’ on the back of his neck. “That is the fighting skeleton,” says Taker. “A lot of my tattoos have to do with skeletons, skulls, and all that. That’s the war skeleton right there.”

This one is yet another addition to the long list of demonic tattoos “The Deadman” has inked on him.

3.Abdomen

Perhaps one of the most disputed Tattoos on Taker’s body is on his Abdomen region. The initials B.S.K Pride are visible whenever he takes off his top.

While WWE Hall Of Famer the late Paul Bearer explained how it stood for “Bone Street Krew”, others say it stands for the “Brotherhood of Solitary Knights” or “Back Stage Krew”.

Other theories say that it was from a group consisting of Taker, Yokozuna, Savio Vega, Papa Shango, The Godwinns, and Rikishi. This group was made to counter the growing strength of “The Kliq”, consisting of Shawn Michaels, Scott Hall, and Kevin Nash.

However, this group turned out to dunk all the expectations on their faces. It was actually made of people who enjoyed the same things and would travel together!

The Undertaker’s tattoos match his character and have become a part of him. “The Deadman” has finally hung up his boots, but the tattoo culture he may have influenced at WWE continues to this day.
