Things are a little complicated in WWE these days. From releasing multiple superstars at the start of the year to not releasing Mustafa Ali, WWE has garnered a few more haters.

Earlier this month, former WWE cruiserweight superstar Mustafa Ali took to Twitter and publicly asked for his release from the company. However, the company didn’t allow it and is simply not budging.

Eventually, the fans took to Twitter and hijacked the site by trending #FreeAli in favor of Mustafa Ali so that the company would release the superstar and let him explore other ventures outside of WWE.

Fans on Twitter are criticizing WWE’s selfish ways of keeping Ali and not using him. Apparently, Ali has blocked WWE on Twitter after the company began blocking select fans on the platform.

“Mustafa Ali/Adeel Alam’s(@AliWWE) message is one of the most important storyline in the history of Pro Wrestling. Let him tell his story.”

Brodie Lee’s wife Amanda Huber also took to Twitter to support Ali. Huber wrote she understands what it feels when someone is not granted their release even after asking for it, indicating the time when her husband Brodie Lee asked for a release, but WWE didn’t release him.

Former SmackDown Women’s champion Sasha Banks liked Huber’s tweet.

Current AEW superstar Feugo del Sol wants to see Ali breaking the chains of WWE.

Former WWE superstar Mia Yim also took to Twitter to support Ali.

The fans are just disgusted by the fact that WWE will release superstars left right and center and not release Ali, who wants to leave the company.

The #FreeAli movement is working in favor of Mustafa Ali

When Toni Storm asked for her release from the company, WWE handed the New Zealand superstar her release. However, Ali upped the ante when he took to Twitter to ask for his release.

It looks like WWE didn’t like the way Ali used a social platform to ask for his release, somewhat portraying the company in a poor light. So, the WWE has still not granted Ali a release.

WWE has not used Ali for any live events for months now. It was reported earlier that Ali and WWE chairman Vince McMahon had a heated argument backstage.

Just days later, Ali publicly asked for his release from the company. The same thing happened with Brodie Lee and FTR when WWE didn’t grant their releases.
