WWE Raw featured an interesting opening segment and a stellar main event. The common factor in both segments was Riddle. The Original Bro put on a fantastic performance on Raw, winning the hearts of the WWE Universe. His triple threat match with AJ Styles and Drew McIntyre would’ve stolen the show on any PPV, but they casually did it on a Monday night.

Adam Pearce and Sonya Deville kicked off the show by announcing Randy Orton’s absence from Raw. After failing to qualify for the MITB ladder match, it seemed like Orton took a week off to recover. However, his RK-Bro teammate had other ideas.

Riddle drew up a note which explained why he would wrestle on behalf of Randy Orton tonight. Instead of inserting him into the triple threat main event, they made him compete in a battle royal, which he won by eliminating Damian Priest. He then celebrated to Orton’s music and even posed atop the turnbuckles like the Viper.

Riddle entirely assumed Orton’s personality, going so far as to sporting his hoodie. During the main event, Riddle even hit a draping DDT, a move he attempted during the battle royal but didn’t succeed. Riddle wasn’t the only talking point about the match, as Drew McIntyre and AJ Styles also put on fantastic performances.

McIntyre’s recent string of losses ended at Riddle’s expense. He smashed the Bro’s teeth in with a Claymore, redeeming his shock loss to the Bro last week. As for the Bro, he’s failed Randy Orton once again, and we’ll see what action the Viper takes next week.

The field of the men’s Money in the Bank ladder match looks very impressive after tonight’s episode of Raw. Drew McIntyre joins four talented superstars from Raw and SmackDown, with three spots still empty. One of those spots will go to Kevin Owens or Sami Zayn, who will meet in a Last Man Standing qualification match.

Last week, Ricochet pulled off an upset against AJ Styles to become the first participant in the match. An hour later, Riddle pinned a former WWE Champion to record the second upset of the night. The third and final upset came when John Morrison pinned Randy Orton to qualify.
