Former Champions Set for Massive Return as Road to WrestleMania Heats Up

It’s been a while since Asuka and Bayley have been a part of WWE TV. Reportedly, both of them had to step away from the ring because of injuries.

However, it’s possible that the Superstars are coming back to the ring in a month or so.

According to a report by PWInsider, Asuka is supposedly returning in February 2022. She was away for months after suffering a shoulder injury.

Her last appearance in WWE was during the Money in the Bank 2021 ladder match.

The same report revealed that Bayley should be medically cleared to come back to WWE in March 2022. She had to step away from action after suffering an ACL injury several months back.

She was supposed to battle Bianca Belair at Money in the Bank 2021 for the SmackDown Women’s Championship. Unfortunately, she suffered an injury during a training session, which required several months to recover.

Bayley was has been actively commenting on the WWE Women’s roster

Throughout her entire time away, The Role Model didn’t shy away from passing comments about the women who were actively working with the company.

Moreover, she even took shots at Beth Phoenix, Trish Stratus, Charlotte Flair, and others during the WWE Women’s Royal Rumble match.

As of now, it’s unknown how Bayley’s storyline will progress when she comes back to the company. Considering she’s a free agent, she has the liberty to choose whichever brand, Raw or SmackDown, for her grand return.

Knowing how Bayley is, she wouldn’t want anything less than being at the top of the women’s roster. That being said, if she returns on Raw, she’ll go after Becky Lynch, or whoever is the champion at that point.

On the other hand, SmackDown’s current champion is Charlotte Flair. If she returns to the blue brand, she may have more than Charlotte Flair to worry about, like Sasha Banks and Bianca Belair.

But, the fans want a fresh storyline with more talent. Therefore, ‘The Role Model’ could potentially be put in a storyline with any of the women on the main roster.

The question is – who will be that Superstar?
