Former United States Champion Wants to “Live Forever” at Roman Reigns’ Expense: “I Want the Stardom”

Few stars have dominated the WWE landscape like the Undisputed Universal Champion Roman Reigns. In the modern era, the type of lengthy title reign that The Tribal Chief is enjoying is quite unheard of. He has put down opponents one by one in his nearly 900-day reign as champion. Reigns is easily the biggest star in WWE or perhaps the pro wrestling world right now and as such, everyone would want to go up against him.

During a recent appearance on The Five Count podcast, WWE star and Judgement Day member Damien Priest expressed his wish to see his faction square off against Reigns-led The Bloodline at some point. The former U.S. Champion also said he wants to become the main WWE superstar even if it means running through the Tribal Chief.

Damien Priest is sure he will face off against Roman Reigns

Roman Reigns and the Bloodline have been the talk of the town since they aligned together. As Reigns dominates the main-event scene in WWE, the Usos hold the Undisputed tag team championships. The likes of Sami Zayn and Solo Sikoa have further strengthened the stable. Their win in the War Games match at Survivor Series reaffirmed their status as WWE’s top faction.

Meanwhile, Damien Priest and his Judgement Day allies aren’t much behind either. Although they don’t hold any gold currently, the Finn Balor-led faction is putting on solid displays on Monday Night RAW. In a recent interview with The Five Count podcast, Priest expressed a desire for the Bloodline to go up against Judgment Day.

Priest also said he wanted to make a name for himself as a big WWE superstar. He said, “I want my name to live forever. I want the fame and the fortune and the stardom that comes with being the main WWE superstar.” With Roman Reigns being the biggest WWE star today, Priest said he has to face Reigns at some point to achieve his goal.

Priest commented “I have to do that, I have to run through Roman Reigns. That has to happen. At some point, I’m sure it will, we’ll cross paths down the line. That’s always a thought in my head. Before it’s all said and done, me and him need to square off. We need to handle some business together, I know that’ll be great when it does happen.”

The former NXT star has had some singles success in WWE and has been a former United States Champion. But a match with Reigns would be the biggest opportunity of his career. A match against one of the biggest stars of the modern era could be a career-defining moment for Damien Priest.

At the moment, both factions are on separate brands and a feud may appear unlikely with Priest himself admitting that they need to get on the Bloodline’s level. However, if WWE takes that path, it will make for an interesting match-up.
