Former WWE Champion Daniel Bryan Opens Up About His Battle With Depression

In a recent video, Daniel Bryan talked about depression and his way to deal with it.

In almost every WWE episode, there are disclaimers asking people not to copy the moves of wrestlers, and not to imitate them in any way.

The reason for this is a severe injury. Some injuries can ruin lives, and in most cases, these injure ruin careers in WWE.

For instance-Edge, Paige, and briefly even Daniel Bryan. Daniel Bryan was forced to hang up his boots after a threatening back injury right at the peak of his career.

To call it quits right when every wrestler is supposed to enjoy himself/herself may have had its toll on Bryan.

A lot of people find different ways to deal with depression. Most people go to therapy and talk it out with someone, others get the required medicines.

Daniel Bryan’s different ways. Not holding back any information, Bryan reveals that he visits a Shaman every time he has a problem.

Yes, that’s right! Bryan visits a Shaman to clear his head off of worldly troubles.

While this isn’t an ordinary way out, Bryan says it works on him. He explains how he can really “connect” with the Shaman and let go of his frustration.

Daniel Bryan can’t connect as well with a therapist.

He adds that he can never crash his mind around the whole therapist thing and that he can’t express his emotions that way.

With the Shaman, he says he really feels connected. He recalls visiting a Shaman with WWE cameras following him into the area.

At some point, he explains how he totally forgot cameras were even rolling and it was just himself and his wife in the zone.

This spiritual level of connection, Bryan says, really helps him in dealing with such stresses and ultimatums.

He also says that the Shaman is just his own way of dealing with depression and it may not be everybody’s cup of tea.

This explanation was just one way of doing it. He urges every person watching to go and find their own way to deal with it.

Daniel Bryan appeared on The Bella Twins’ Channel to explain this in a special feature video targeting his depression and how she recovered.
