WWE is a big promotion. And it has a huge number of superstars under its talent umbrella. Some of these stars have a long run, as they feel satisfied with the promotion. While others chose to end their run because of some reason or the other.

One such superstar who didn’t have a happy ending with WWE is Ryback (birth name Ryan Allen Reeves). He left WWE in 2016. But after his departure, he was met with a legal notice regarding his wrestling moniker. For three years, he fought the legal battle and finally emerged victorious recently.

He now holds the sole possession of his wrestling name. But he celebrated his victory in a special manner. He went to his social media account to address Triple H, Vince McMahon, and their new partner, Endeavour and offered them a suggestion.

Ryback demands WWE fix his social media accounts

In April 2020, ‘The Big Guy’ accused his former employers of shadow-banning him and restricting his Twitter activity. He claimed his account got restricted, with no notice or warning whatsoever. Now that he has won his case against WWE, he wants his “social media accounts fixed.”

Endeavor bought WWE from Mr. McMahon earlier this year in April. Thus, he tagged the company on Twitter and asked them to process his demand quickly. He also tagged ‘The Game’ and the Executive Chairman of WWE in his post. Plus, he didn’t leave the chance to express his displeasure over the entire situation.

The 41-year-old pro wrestling star had a long exhausting legal battle with the Stamford-based promotion. But he came out on top, eventually. Let’s have a look at how his legal battle with his former employers began.

Ryback’s quest to get his name back

Reeves kick-started his run in WWE from Tough Enough in 2004. Fast forward to 2010, the company sent him to the main roster to display his talents and skills. He had a decent run in the company albeit a short one. In August 2016, he parted ways with the promotion because of creative and financial differences.

He may have said his goodbyes to the company. But his issues with the promotion still lingered post his departure. After leaving WWE, he ventured into independent circuits where he wrestled under his name ‘Ryback’. This led his former employees to file a cease and desist case against him in September 2020.

The former WWE Intercontinental Champion via Twitter announced he is not going to back out from the fight and will leave no stone unturned to get justice for himself. Three years later, in January 2023, he announced he has won his case and WWE has relinquished all their claim to his wrestling moniker.
