The Women’s Revolution in 2015 sprouted some of the finest women’s wrestlers WWE has ever seen. Charlotte Flair, Becky Lynch, Bayley and of course, Sasha Banks, burst onto the scene to steal the spotlight from their male counterparts. The Boss has proven to be the best in-ring talent out of the Four Horsewomen. Here are some of her best matches.

Lynch and Banks showcased their technical wizardry in what was a brilliant 15-minute scorcher. Sasha targeted Lynch’s arm throughout the match, even driving it into the ring apron in a dangerous manner.

The Boss retained the title, after the Bank Statement proved too much for Lynch. Sasha prevailed but made Becky look like a million bucks in the process.

Banks’ next defense is probably the best match in NXT history. The heel Sasha faced the uber-babyface Bayley in a stunning match at NXT Takeover: Brooklyn.

Kevin Owens vs Finn Balor went on last, but Banks and Bayley were definitely the main event. Bayley picked up the win after hitting Sasha with a devastating reverse hurricanerana from the top rope, before ending Sasha’s reign with a final Bayley-to-Belly.

Sasha and Bayley tried to recapture the magic of their first match in a 30-minute Iron Woman match at Takeover: Respect. Both women drove the other to the absolute limit.

In classic heel fashion, Sasha made an audience member cry, but Bayley had the last laugh by making Sasha submit to a vicious armbar. Bayley won the match 3-2, and Sasha Banks said goodbye to the NXT Universe.

Sasha Banks bosses the main roster

When Banks debuted on the main roster, she instantly became one of the most popular wrestlers on the show. In her very first WrestleMania, she stole the show alongside fellow Horsewomen Charlotte Flair and Becky Lynch.

Their incredible match for the brand new WWE Women’s Championship is often regarded as the best women’s match in WrestleMania history.

Banks won her first main roster championship on Monday Night Raw. The win came out of nowhere, and the fact that it came against the dominant Charlotte Flair made it even sweeter.

Channeling her inner Eddie Guerrero, she got Flair’s buddy Dana Brooke ejected from ringside before making Flair submit to the Banks Statement.

The WWE Women’s Championship was exchanged by Banks and Flair a couple of times, before Flair stomped out Sasha’s chances in a brutal Iron Woman match at Roadblock 2016.

Flair won the title in overtime, after the match ended with both women scoring two wins each. It was the last time Banks would compete for the title until WrestleMania 33.

Sasha Banks proves she’s the best

After a slow 2017, Banks would regain her form in 2019. Banks faced Ronda Rousey at the 2019 Royal Rumble for the Raw Women’s Championship.

It is fair to say that no other Superstar drove Rousey to the limit like Banks managed to. Rousey had to dig deep to put away the resilient Banks, who, in the process, managed to make Ronda look like a WrestleMania main event worthy wrestler.

Banks would then compete inside Elimination Chamber alongside Bayley. The duo would go on to win the brand new Women’s Tag Team Championships in a blockbuster Chamber match, with Banks making Sonya Deville tap out to a modified Banks Statement.

Losing the tag titles led to Sasha taking a break from WWE. Once she returned, she targeted Raw Women’s Champion Becky Lynch.

In 2019, Sasha would put on classics against the likes of Bayley, Asuka and NXT Champion Io Shirai. She will aim to put on another classic against Carmella at WWE TLC.

Banks ending 2020 on a high is utterly deserving, due to the sheer quality of every single one of her performances.
