Flair has amassed an incredible talent for putting on an amazing show. Since her days in NXT, Charlotte has managed to compete at the highest level, making her a perfect choice. She has held both Smackdown and RAW Women’s Championships and is now the NXT Women’s Champion. Flair has an amazing and likable personality (even as a heel) and is extremely charismatic on stage. All these aspects make her an excellent choice to ascend back through the WWE and compete for the top belts.
During the past 7 years, the women’s division in WWE has been reformed to a large extent. What was once a throwaway division, with no real competition or storylines, has now become massive. Competitive, athletic superstars, intriguing and intertwined storylines and likable, marketable characters are now everywhere within the Women’s division. This resurgence has not gone unnoticed. Under the control of superstars like Becky Lynch, Ronda Rousey, and of course Flair, the division has become more interesting than ever. So much so, that the main event of Wrestlemania 35 was the first all-women main event in Wrestlemania history. This shows that the fans love the division more than they ever have, making it a perfect time to find a new face.
