WWE stars have the power to influence hundreds of thousands of people across the globe. Some wrestlers have recently embarked on a journey to boycott Twitter’s ‘blue subscription’. Alexa Bliss is the latest addition to the wrestlers boycotting Twitter’s new rule. The female wrestler was last seen inside the ring during Royal Rumble 2023. However, she proves that staying out of the ring doesn’t mean necessarily staying quiet over other issues.

Bliss is aware of her influential power. Hence, she decided to stand up against what she considered a just cause. In a quest to support wellness in the world, Bliss took to Twitter. This way, she hoped to reach a wider share of the audience.

Bliss’ current tweet can be traced back to October 2022 when Elon Musk became the owner and CEO of Twitter. Twitter users have been allowed to pay for the ‘blue verification’ for quite some time now.

However, Musk took the next big step in the game. Tesla’s owner eventually introduced the ‘blue subscription’. Whichever public figure was not subscribed to this $8 monthly plan would lose his or her verified mark on the platform.

As celebrities started losing the verified mark, a virtual panic spread on the platform. Fans were unable to identify between the real and the fake accounts of celebrities. This could also expose the masses to more scams and frauds. So, in protest, several AEW and WWE stars did not buy the subscription. To add to the campaign, they started tweeting against the new rule.

Female WWE star Zelina Vega provided the virtual campaign with a new motive. She linked it to worldly wellness and acts of kindness. In a recent tweet, Vega wrote, “What if we take that $8 and give it to an animal shelter every month?

This tweet of hers recorded a lot of positive fan reactions. One of them was also from Alexa Bliss. ‘Little Miss Bliss’ joined her fellow wrestler’s cause. She quoted, “I’m down for this.” While reading the tweets, fans can also notice that none of the two stars have verified ticks left on their profile.

Although both the female wrestlers only added small sentences to the already ongoing campaign, it can have big results. While everyone is occupied with the issue of verified celebrities, these female wrestlers linked it to a better cause.
