“I Completely Lost It”- Charlotte Flair Reveals the Reason She Snapped Against Ronda Rousey

WWE Superstar Charlotte Flair is undoubtedly one of the biggest stars in the company.
She has played a huge part in completely reforming the Women’s Division in WWE. Even today, Flair continues to rampage through all three WWE brands.
The Queen recently sat down and spoke about her match with Ronda Rousey, and how it had changed her.

Flair was chosen as the replacement fighter for Becky Lynch, who was slated to face Rousey at Survivor Series.
The expectations for the match were extremely high, as Rousey was a huge draw, and was facing Flair, an experienced and excellent performer.

Flair admittedly doubted herself before the matchup. “From the moment Ronda came into the WWE, I played it over and over that I was going to face her at WrestleMania. How am I gonna walk into Sunday, and prove that I’m the baddest wrestler on the planet?”
Charlotte Flair puts the WWE on notice
The bout was extremely hard-fought, and extremely entertaining. Flair made it a point to be as physical as possible, to keep it engaging throughout. “You’re seeing just 2 badass women going at it.”
Rousey at the time was largely known as perhaps the most dominant UFC fighter in her division, and was looking to uphold that status in WWE.

Charlotte spoke about how she snapped, and turned heel in the match, leading to her disqualification.
“I was thinking ‘No, I’m the baddest woman on the planet’. That’s the story I was trying to tell in the ring.

“When I snapped, and beat the living mess out of her, in her hometown, and for her to get up and walk out, with her head held high, that’s why she’s the toughest woman on the planet.”

Moreover, Flair noted that this particular moment cemented her as a perennial contender.

“I loved the ending, because I had been a good guy, but in the end I snapped. I completely lost it. The frustration from losing, being the ‘replacement’… After the match at Survivor Series, I wasn’t a replacement”
It was at this moment that Flair had put the entire WWE on notice, setting the stage for her ascension to bigger levels of Stardom.
