WWE legend Lita had several memorable moments in her successful WWE career. But there is nothing more special than winning your first title.

In 1999, Lita signed for WWE, and just after one year, she became the WWE Women’s Champion for the first time by defeating Stephanie McMahon during the August 21 episode of WWF Raw is War in 2000.

The Rock, Triple H, and Kurt Angle all got involved in that match. The Rock was the referee for the title match. But Triple H and Kurt Angle tried to interfere on behalf of Stephanie. But The Rock dealt with both of them.

Stephanie McMahon also tried to attack The Rock with the championship belt. But ‘The Most Electrifying Man in Sports Entertainment’ hit a Spinebuster on Stephanie. Soon after that, Lita hit a moonsault on Stephanie to pick up the victory.

But right after her victory over Stephanie McMahon, Lita, along with The Hardy Boyz, made their way straight towards backstage without celebrating her moment inside the ring.

During an episode of Steve Austin: The Broken Skull Sessions, Lita revealed the reason behind this.

She said, “I am in there with all these big players [Kurt Angle, Triple H, and The Rock]. I am fresh and brand new and I am like, ‘Don’t get in their way’. We didn’t get Rocky [The Rock] with the hand raise.”

“I did not want to have Triple H there on the ground and Kurt Angle there on the ground, and have them sell with this girl standing above them,” Lita added.

But had Lita celebrated her victory for some time before leaving, one might not have complained about it. However, Lita got her moment on the following episode of WWE Raw.

Did Lita compete in WWE in 2022?

Yes, Lita has competed inside the ring in 2022. First, she competed in the Women’s Royal Rumble Match. But she failed to win on that night.

Though some fans thought Lita had left after the 2022 Royal Rumble, it wasn’t the case. She appeared on WWE Raw, challenging Becky Lynch for the Raw Women’s Championship at WWE Elimination Chamber 2022.
