Ronda Rousey has gained much experience in fighting from her WWE and MMA days. The woman has taken many down in the Octagon or the squared circle and on a judo mat. And this skill has helped Rousey make friends in high places as well. The eldest daughter of the Fast and Furious lead actor Vin Diesel wanted to learn it, and who better than a former Olympic bronze medalist to teach?

Not only did Rousey win the bronze medal at the 2008 Olympics, but she was the first American in history to win a medal in Judo. This instantly made her into a household name in the U.S. and the UFC fame only built up on it. Since then, Rousey has never looked back, but she hasn’t forgotten the basics, as she still uses them in her WWE matches.

Ronda Rousey detailed her plans to teach Judo to Vin Diesel’s daughter

6 years ago, during her time in the UFC, TMZ asked Rousey about the training regime for Vin Diesel’s daughter, Hania Riley Sinclair. I’ve learned more from her than she has learned from me at this point.

She continued to talk about the future of his daughter and Judo in the long term. She said, “She definitely has the attitude for it. Moreover, the interviewer asked when was she planning to teach the little girl some hands-on training, and she replied, “If that was the path she decided to go down, I’m sure that she would. I don’t know who else Vin would trust other than me to make sure. I’d picture she’s alright if she chose to do it. I’ve been promising them for a while that I’d get her some lessons in person and it’s going down. I’ll let her throw me around a bit and teach her some judo.

As Rousey said in the interview, she later taught Hania martial arts and it even helped the then-7-year-old to win an orange belt.

While we know Ronda Rousey for her meteoric rise to the top in the UFC and her history-making WrestleMania moment with Charlotte Flair and Becky Lynch, she was popular even before that. The first thing that shaped her into the fighter she is today was judo and it has greatly influenced her illustrious career in combat sports.
