If there’s anybody in the world of pro-wrestling that embodies the word ‘terrifying’, it is The Undertaker. For over thirty years, The Deadman shocked the stage of the WWE with his menacing aura and seemingly supernatural skills. Which is why it may shock fans to hear how the ‘Deadman’ was kissed on the cheek by another WWE legend.
Chris Jericho, who is a cultural icon in his own right, recently owned up to giving Taker a peck on the cheek during his time in Japan. While interacting with his audience during his Saturday Night Special on Facebook, a fan asked Jericho, “Any funny Undertaker stories to share?” Chuckling, Jericho recounted his experience with The Phenom while they were in Japan together.

How did Jericho end up kissing The Deadman?
Jericho gave a detailed description of the events that led to the kiss, saying, “It was when RAW and SmackDown taped two shows back to back in Tokyo, and we all went to Roppongi.” Roppongi is the “party district” in Tokyo, where clubs and bars buzz all night long. Jericho and The Undertaker were in one such bar when things got “cheeky.”

“I was super loaded, as you can imagine. There might have been some other narcotics involved, maybe. Me and Taker were sitting at the back of the bar, kind of, in the private area. And I just had it in my mind that I had to convince Undertaker to let me kiss him.. on the lips. And I spent like an hour. I was like, ‘Dude, let me kiss you once. Come Onnnn.’ And he finally allowed me to kiss him on the cheek. That was his compromise,” described Jericho, also revealing that he sat on the Phenom’s lap and just hugged him for a long time.

Where is The Undertaker now?
The Undertaker retired from professional wrestling after the cinematic ‘Boneyard Match’ with AJ Styles on Night One of WrestleMania XXXVI. The spectacular face-off saw Taker fighting ‘The Phenomenal’ in a unique, cinematic route, which fans agree was the best way to bid goodbye to the WWE Ultra-Legend.
Ever since his retirement, The Deadman has been lending his skills to the WWE Performance Center, where he trains the next generation Chris Jerichos and Mark Callaways. Fortunately, this means that fans have not yet seen the last of The Undertaker, who lives on in little stories like Jericho’s. What will we learn next about this enigmatic figure?
