Paige recently made the headlines after she gave an update on her future with WWE. She took to social media to announce her departure from WWE. Her time in WWE will end on July 7. Several fans looked emotional following this announcement from Paige.
Recently, Paige herself talked about her upcoming WWE exit on her Twitch stream. She also talked about WWE helped her during her dark times.
Paige said, “I knew it was coming eventually. Getting the, ‘Hey, can I call you? I’m at SmackDown though.’ I’m like, ‘That leaves no room for negotiation. They’re probably not going to renew it.’ They helped me so much, more than just wrestling.”

She further added, “They got me a therapist when I was having drinking and alcohol issues. They kept me, even after my neck surgery, just sitting on my a**. I really appreciate that. I’m not leaving because I want to. They just don’t want to re-sign my contract. I completely understand. There are no hard feelings.” (H/T: Fightful)

Paige has not competed in a match in WWE since 2017 because of her injury. Her last pro wrestling match took place in December 2017 at a House Show. On that night, Paige teamed up with Mandy Rose and Sonya Deville to take on Sasha Banks, Bayley, and Mickie James in a six-woman tag team match. Soon after that, she announced her retirement from in-ring action.
