The WrestleMania season is upon us. To call it the most anticipated event of the year is an understatement. Hardcore WWE fans demand nothing but perfection for these high-profile events. However, fans of WWE stars, such as Sami Zayn, The Usos, and Kevin Owens will not enjoy the latest update regarding the event.

As fans know WrestleMania this year will again be a two-night event which means two main events. With Roman Reigns and Cody Rhodes likely headline Night 2, the question is around who will get the honor of headlining Night 1.

Fans are ready to riot for Sami Zayn to be the main event at WrestleMania

Dave Meltzer of the Wrestling Observer confirmed the latest update, straight from WWE. This update concerns the line-up of the stars, which will feature as the main event at the event. Despite astounding support towards Sami Zayn and The Bloodlines’ storyline, WWE has apparently handed the main event to the women’s SmackDown championship match where Charlotte Flair will face off against, Rhea Ripley. However, fans are not tagging along with this idea, and demand justice for ‘The Underdog’.

They complained about the weak build-up for the current main event.

Moreover, even former professional wrestlers believed that Zayn and Owens have worked enough to get the “main event” status for this ‘Mania but that doesn’t appear to be the case

They are hopeful this outcry will force WWE into changing the card before the big night.

Fans are really looking forward to The Bloodline storyline, which will mostly conclude at the end of Day 2. When Cody Rhodes faces Bloodlines leader, Roman Reigns.

Fans are rooting for Rhea Ripley to be the women’s SmackDown champion against The Queen. However, the majority show more interest in the more exciting matchups, involving The Bloodline members. Mainly, the fans have taken a huge liking to Zayn’s role in the whole saga.

Initially, fans expected Owens and Zayn vs The Usos to be the main event on April 1, 2023.

However, this update from Dave Meltzer of The Wrestling Observer threw a curveball at fans. Nevertheless, fans expect Owens and Zayn to feature as the opener on Night 2, which could be a fair compromise.

Despite the circumstances, every pro wrestling enthusiast will keenly follow the updates, leading up to the big night.
