WWE often announces the signing of new superstars and the release of several stars who wish to leave the company. As per the company’s policy, they announce the release or departure of their main roster stars on social media. However, a 36-year-old recently silently left the company, and it surprised everyone as WWE didn’t announce it.

The former WWE superstar was one of the most-seen stars on the shows. Moreover, she was a 17-year veteran in the company.

Former Divas Champion Alicia Fox recently left the Stamford-based company without announcing her departure. She shared the news through her Instagram bio, which shocked the world. Fox was a part of the company since 2006 and left in 2023, ending her 17-year-old journey with the company. She changed her WWE name to her real name i.e. Victoria Crawford and also mentioned her WWE career tenuring from 2006 to 2023.

The 36-year-old joined the company in 2006, moving to Ohio Valley Wrestling in 2007. Furthermore, she was sent to Florida Championship Wrestling in 2008, until the main roster came calling. The fans saw Fox on the main roster on the June 13, 2008 episode of SmackDown as Edge and Vickie Guerrero’s wedding planner.

She wrestled on both brands until 2010, after which WWE gave her a huge push. At the 2010 Fatal Four Way PLE, she won the Divas Championship, defeating Gail Kim, Eve Torres, and Maryse. This victory marked as a big moment for her as till today she is the only African American WWE superstar to win the Divas Title.

Moreover, Fox was a crucial part of the Divas era of WWE and also a part of the Total Divas. In 2015, she became a part of the Women’s Revolution teaming with The Bella Twins, calling themselves Team Bella. 

She had several matches and a managerial run around 2017 to 2020. A few months ago in an interview with Athletes Voices Fox shared she was still signed with the Vince McMahon’s company when the rumors of her departure started floating.

The 36-year-old was a promising talent in WWE and hence has achieved a legend status after her 17-year-old journey. In her career, she has won three championships, including her OVW run.

Fox’s first taste of a championship came in 2006 when she won the OVW women’s title. Furthermore, four years later, she won the Divas Championship as mentioned above. Subsequently, her last title win was the retired 24/7 Championship during the 2021 Women’s Royal Rumble match pinning R-Truth. The WWE universe poured in with their reactions to the shocking news

Last year in October Crawford got engaged to be married to musician Michael Fitzgerald. She had a wonderful career in the wrestling company for 17 years and now we wish her all the best for a fresh path that she wishes to take after leaving the promotion.
