Ariel asked Taker if he’s one hundred percent done with wrestling. Undertaker replied, “I am. In my mind I’m one hundred percent done. But there’s this guy up in Stanford, Connecticut who lives by the motto ‘never say never’.”

Undertaker was obviously referring to WWE CEO Vince McMahon. Apparently, it is Vince who really wants Taker to continue wrestling past his 50s at major shows. Undertaker is a huge draw, and McMahon is a true businessman by cashing in on the Undertaker.

Taker said that he has come to terms with the fact that he is done with wrestling. “I’ve made my peace with it, and its only because I still have the passion to do this. I love it. If physically I could do it forever I definitely would.” However, time has caught up to him.

Taker said he could not be the Undertaker that people would pay money to see. In spite of this, he feels blessed to have a 34 year career in wrestling and a 30 year career in the WWE.

“It is what it is, I don’t wanna be the guy who limps out to the ring and the young guys are having to work around me, to get Chokeslammed or dropped on their head. One, that’s not fair to them. Two, its not fair to my fans.”

Undertaker made his last appearance for WWE at WrestleMania 36. He faced AJ Styles in the infamous Boneyard match at the PPV. The cinematic style match received a lot of praise. It was both creative and mindlessly entertaining.

Taker has wrestled a plethora of classics during his prime years, but there has been a drop in his performance in the past decade. After the end of the streak, Undertaker lost a huge chunk of his aura. Taker’s immortality at the Show of Shows made WrestleMania feel more special than what it already was.
