Eric Bischoff, Vic Joseph, and Corey Graves shared an emotional moment on WWE’s After the Bell right after Graves announced WWE will induct Bischoff to the WWE Hall of Fame, class of 2021.

This was an emotionally overwhelming moment for Eric Bischoff as he tried hard to fight off his tears.

“I don’t know quite what to say. Wow, it’s awesome. Just wow, that’s all I got. I mean for the guy that could never shut the h*ll up on my own podcast, I don’t have anything to say. I’m just speechless. Wow, it’s gonna take a minute.

“I’m not gonna lie to you because every year around this time, of course, I get emails and social media hits and all asking and I’ve always been pretty good at just keeping it out of my mind. I don’t think about it. I never have, to any real degree.”

Eric Bischoff opened up about one particular name associated with the Hall of Fame

Eric Bischoff revealed his feelings about his induction by going back to the beginning of his career.

“But you look at some of the names associated, many of the names, all of the names associated with the WWE Hall of Fame and, I’m gonna personalize this one for me. The kid that, because I was in my early 30s, the guy who got a job his very first day working for AWA’s Verne Gagne back in 1987, knew nothing. I was a big wrestling fan, I had no experience.

“It was like his wild eye opportunity for me, I put Vern up on a pedestal and to think if somebody would have come up to me and said ‘on 2021 you and Verne Gagne are going to be in the WWE Hall of Fame, my head would have exploded.

“I can’t say thank you enough ways for people to know how much I mean it. But I really really mean it.”

The first member of WWE Hall of Fame 2021

Apart from Eric Bischoff, WWE announced Molly Holly as the first inductee for the WWE Hall of Fame 2021.

It was Shane “Hurricane” Helms who broke the news to Molly Holly on WWE’s The Bump. This seemed appropriate given the history they shared in the ring.
