Bray Wyatt may seem like a sinister character in the ring who acts with no remorse, but in real life, it’s pretty much the opposite.

In a recent interview, WWE Superstar Bray Wyatt revealed that he was deeply hurt by NFL Superstar Derek Carr over a Twitter post.

Carr replied to a tweet by WWE back in May asking fans to list the 5 best Superstars of all time. In his choices, Carr included the following.

Seeing this, Bray Wyatt was taken aback. He thought that Carr would have given him a spot on the list. Wyatt spoke of what went through his mind after seeing the tweet.

“It did sting, it did sting but I forgive him. It’s in my nature to forgive. And I’m a huge Derek Carr guy. I’ve loved Derek Carr, I’ve believed in him the whole time and I was flabbergasted you know, not just that he didn’t choose me but the ones he did choose were just the vanilla poster-boys that he sees up on the poster at Walmart,” says Wyatt. “You know, there was no damage control in his mind, there was no insight, it was just, ‘Hey, these are every 5-year-old’s favorite wrestlers.’”

Bray Wyatt claims that he and Carr are good now

Wyatt tried to find an explanation as to why he wasn’t included, to calm his own mind. He even reached out to Carr after this.

“So I was like ‘Ok, maybe he doesn’t know about me’. I reached to him, I said hello, and now me and Derek Carr, you know, we’re pretty much best friends. We’re gonna go hunting together this winter. I of course don’t harm animals but I think he does,” jokes Wyatt. “We’re gonna do some Bible Study, we’re gonna do some Pool Party coming up at Keanu Reeves’ house we’re both attending so, it gonna be great to see what our friendship blossoms into.”

To add insult to injury, Carr replied to Wyatt on Twitter. He mentioned that the next name on the list was Sting! He even poked at Wyatt’s Husky Harris character.

Wyatt then retaliated by posting his list of the best 5 Raiders’ Quarterbacks of all time and didn’t include Carr.

When asked if he would like to be in the ring with Derek Carr one day, Wyatt seemed a bit hesitant.

“I don’t know, I don’t know. He’s hurt my feelings again, and I wouldn’t want him to hurt my feelings again up close like that,” says Wyatt. “I don’t know what I’d do!”

We must not throw these ideas off the table, however. Pat McAfee, a former NFL player, has also been making quite an impression in NXT. We may just be lucky enough to see Derek Carr step inside the ring with Bray Wyatt one day to put their feud to the brawl.
