A few days ago, Shad Gaspard bid farewell to the world. A former WWE Superstar, Gaspard was known for his time with JTG as the Cryme Tyme player. Several other stars have expressed their condolences to Gaspard and his family. The Phenom Undertaker and his wife too had words to share. 

The Undertaker and his wife Michelle McCool had an interview with Mario Lopez where the couple opened up on what Gaspard meant to the WWE family. Back in 2009, Gaspard had spent time with both Undertaker and Michelle on SmackDown. 

Undertaker on the demise of Shad Gaspard

Michelle said, “He was one of the nicest guys. He’s just one of those rare gems that it doesn’t matter where he was or who is where he was always smiling. Everybody has something nice to say about him. He just, man..”

Undertaker continued saying, ” In this industry, it’s hard to find people like that. I mean, he was such a… Obviously he was genuine, you know, a giant man, but a real I mean, just a sweetheart of a man… When you talk about heroes and people that you look up to, with just that last act of what he did, You know, it just kinda tells you what a great father and human being that he was. It’s just so sad. It’s just another example, I mean, this year has been so bizarre, you know, Kobe and everything else that’s happened and something like that. You know, one minute you’re at the beach with your son enjoying having a great time and then something catastrophic like that happens.”

Further, he said, “You hate seeing bad things happen, but you really hate seeing bad things happen to really good people like that. You know, it’s really not fair. We pray for his family and hope that they’ll be able to deal with this and and and move on and remember, you know, what a wonderful man he was.”

Friends and fans of Shad Gaspard have set up several fundraisers that will see the money going to Gaspard’s family. 

Heroic last moments

Shad Gaspard and his son were on the Venice beach on Sunday at 4 pm when a strong current started to hit them. Lifeguards leaped in to get everyone off the water, but Gaspard wanted the lifeguards to make his son safe first. Not soon after, another strong wave hit, and Gaspard disappeared. 

The search for Shad Gaspard continued day and night. Divers did a deep search around, but to no avail. His body wasn’t discovered until Wednesday morning. 

A true hero in this world, Gaspard spent his final moments saving the life of his son. Many fans and fellow colleagues have been helping Gaspard’s family ever since. We are once again at a great loss.
