Jake ‘The Snake’ Roberts, Who Struggled With Drug Addiction and Alcohol Abuse in the Past, Opens up About His Strained Relationship With His Children

Jake ‘The Snake’ Roberts had a decorated run in the pro wrestling industry. The fans loved his iconic persona with dark, intense charisma. However, he had a fair share of lows in his life. In the past, he fell into the clutches of drug addiction and alcohol abuse.

His addiction issues became a major factor that led to him having problems in his personal life In a recent interview, Roberts speaks about the existing problems in his relationship with his children.

A&E has started a documentary series that features the legends of the pro wrestling industry. Last month, the documentary featured the life of Jake Roberts. In the documentary, the fans discovered the WWE Hall of Famer has eight children but, four of his children are not on speaking terms with him.

In reference to this subject, the show host of Vlad TV asked him to shed a light on it. Speaking in the interview, the 67-year-old star said that not four but only three are upset with him because of his addiction issues. He said, “The fourth one we just had a disagreement, so. But the other three, they don’t want anything to do with me yet.”

The Houston-born said clarified that the remaining three are still reluctant to open their hearts to him as they fear he might hurt their feelings again. This is a reaction to Roberts’ past actions, and he accepts the fact that their children need some time to heal from their past trauma.

The WWE legend has managed to mend his relationship with 5 of his children. However, the mending process is still in progress with three of his kids. He believes that sooner or later, he will rebuild the lost connection with them.

Roberts has been 11 years sober and has remained healthy with another pro wrestling icon Diamond Dallas Page having an enormous hand in his recovery process. Jake ‘The Snake’ Roberts has come a long way from his past troubles and it seems things are on the right track for him. In fact, his ex-wife, who divorced him over two decades ago, recently reconciled with him.
