Curt Hennig gained massive fame within the industry

Fans have regarded Curt Hennig as the best of the best. Throughout his career, he had delivered some of the best matches that the WWE Universe could ever witness.

One of the biggest wins of his career was during 1987, when he defeated Nick Bockwinkel to secure the AWA World Heavyweight Championship. He held onto the title for 373 days before passing it on to Jerry Lawler to join WWE again.

Upon returning to WWE in 1988, WWE gave Curt Hennig the gimmick of ‘Mr. Perfect’. He executed the role of an arrogant heel to perfection.

Some elements of his segments included throwing a Hail Mary pass to himself, marking the bullseye dart after dart, and no-look basketball shots.

As his time moved on at WWE, Hennig suffered several injuries for which he had to take a break from the ring. Finally, he returned to the company to be a part of the ring and the commentary box.

Before he left the company for WCW, he had feuds with the likes of Lex Luger, Triple H, and even Shawn Michaels.

Mr. Perfect was fired because of Brock Lesnar

Hennig returned to WWE in 2002 at Royal Rumble using the ‘Mr. Perfect’ gimmick. After performing brilliantly, the company offered him a full-time contract.

During this time, he had battles with Superstars such as Stone Cold Steve Austin and Rob Van Dam.

At the famous “Plane Ride From Hell”, WWE fired him following a drunken fight with Brock Lesnar.
