Sami Zayn blasts WWE over the Intercontinental Championship dispute
Sami Zayn seems to be extra jumpy these days, as he always is. Since his return, “The Untouchable” has been re-asserting himself as the Intercontinental Champion and gets extremely tugged if anyone disputes his legitimacy as the Champion.
This was proved earlier today when Zayn replied to a tweet by WWE on FOX that asked fans to decide who the true Intercontinental Champion is. Sami Zayn made it very clear that it was only him, no one else.
No. Just no.
The fact that this question is even being asked is a shameful attempt to legitimize a fraudulent “champion”.
Enough.
I won’t play this game.

Jeff Hardy worked his back off over the last few months to win the title. First, he won a very personal feud against Sheamus, and then took on one of the best wrestlers in WWE.
After a huge match against AJ Styles, “The Charismatic Enigma” emerged the winner and finally had the elusive belt around his waist.
However, he had no chance of enjoying his reign since Sami Zayn decided to show up. Sami was one of the few Superstars who decided to stay out of the action in WWE due to health concerns.
Therefore, his title was forfeited and a new Champion would hold on to his position until he came back.
Sami Zayn does not want to waste more time with Jeff Hardy
Now that he has returned with the true belt, Zayn has made it abundantly clear that he is the only legitimate Champion. He doesn’t even want to dispute the fact and reminds us that he never lost it in the first place.

Another returning Champion was Roman Reigns. He too stayed out of the action due to health concerns and had to forfeit his title. Now, he’s back in full swing and won the title again, proving his dominance.
Sami Zayn, however, doesn’t even want the fight. He keeps bringing up the fact that there should never have been ‘another’ Intercontinental Champion.

Will Jeff Hardy manage to shut him up once and for all, or will Sami prove his worth? We will soon find out as the feud progresses. For now, don’t bring up Jeff Hardy next to Sami Zayn.
