While he is busy making new movies and high-budget TV shows right now, his roots and popularity started from wrestling and, being the most grounded people in Hollywood, he makes a lot of mention of his wrestling days.
But before John Cena, there were many wrestlers who tried breaking into the Hollywood scene. John Cena once credited WWE rival Dwayne Johnson for Hollywood success
In an interview with GQ, while talking about 2015’s Trainwreck, John Cena told the magazine, “By doing what he’s done with his class and professionalism, he’s given an opportunity to folks like me. Not only did he call out Johnson for being away from the ring, but he also called him out for abandoning WWE for Hollywood. But now Cena is the one thanking Johnson for working hard in the movie industry.
