Recently, in light humor, a former rival of one of WWE’s popular factions The Shield has taken a jibe at them. The jibe came as three superstars, Roman Reigns, Seth Rollins, and Dean Ambrose, surpassed the global and legendary superstars Dwayne Johnson and Brock Lesnar. They were successful in securing the top spot on an all-time list of WWE debuts. In a recent social media post, Ryback took a chance to comment on The Shield.
By showcasing their talents and connection with the audience The Shield trio left a lasting impression on the WWE universe. Even after they have split and gone on their different paths, they remain the most prominent stars in the industry. WWE recently placed them at the top of their top debuts list ahead of icons like The Rock, Lesnar, and John Cena.

The Shield made Ryback their target on their debut. At Survivor Series 2012, they made their debut during a Triple Threat match between CM Punk, Ryback, and John Cena. Their interference allowed Punk to retain his title, preventing Ryback from winning the WWE Championship. They continued to be a thorn in Ryback’s side for the next few months.

Recently, in a social media post, Ryback offered his congratulations to the Shield in a tongue-in-cheek fashion. He tweeted, “Congratulations to The Shield for having the #1 debut in @WWE history preventing me from winning the WWE Championship. Further cements the impact I was able to make in such a short period of time and my ability to help create new stars while also getting myself MASSIVELY over. All great guys.”

The Shield debuted by destroying Ryback at the very end of the Survivor series pay-per-view. Given what the trio of Reigns, Rollins, and Ambrose aka Jon Moxley have achieved, it was surely a historic moment.
The Shield outshines The Rock and other WWE legends
The former WWE superstar is not shy when it comes to making outlandish claims or revelations. Ryback has been constantly critical of WWE since they released him in 2016, with WWE legend John Cena his usual target.
