Following the latest episode of NXT, the one name on everyone’s mouth is Leon Ruff. The newcomer managed to shock the WWE Universe with an upset win over Johnny Gargano. His valiant victory attracted praise from even Triple H.

Defeating Gargano with a crucifix pin, Ruff is now the new North American Champion. This came as a total wildcard and no one really saw it coming.

Although he did get a lot of praise, the crown doesn’t quite seem to fit his head. In this case, the belt was just a bit too wide for his waist.

In a recent post on Twitter, Triple H congratulated him and also called out the fact that the Championship belt comically fell right down when he was celebrating.

After a hard-fought match, Johnny Gargano managed to defeat Damian Priest to win the same title at Halloween Havoc. Coming off hot from this win, he decided to up the ante.

Presenting his wheel of challengers, Gargano was willing to fight any Superstar that got picked on random. Obviously fixed, the weakest opponent was chosen in Ruff.

Leon Ruff ruined the night for Johnny Gargano

It was clear that Gargano wanted to make a statement. He dominated the match and tried to provoke Priest, who watched closely from the ringside area.

However, Gargano was caught while paying too much attention to Priest and was rolled up for the pin. This humiliating loss sent him into a rage.

Leon Ruff was ecstatic following this shocker. It was like watching Paige come out of nowhere and defeat the invincible AJ Lee to win the WWE Divas Championship.

Even though Gargano argued all he could, it was of no use. The day belonged to Ruff and the hard-won gold was lost in the blink of an eye.

Gargano will undoubtedly want another shot at the title. He is probably tugging his hair at the moment. If Leon Ruff wanted to make a statement, he did so very well.
