Well, this is one of a few storylines in which The Big Man made an appearance that closely paralleled his real-life activities. For those who are unaware, in 2010, Linda McMahon ran for Connecticut’s vacant U.S. Senate seat and risked all to win.

However, despite putting everything, she was unsuccessful in the run and faced harsh criticism over her lack of experience. Additionally, the campaign to fill retiring independent Senator Joe Lieberman lost McMahon about $50 Million of her money. It’s interesting to note that although his wife Linda lost a lot of money, the WWE chief Vince McMahon saw the potential to draw content from it.

Notably, Freddie Prinze Jr, a key member of the WWE writing staff at the time, portrayed a doctor who informed the unconscious Mr. McMahon that Linda McMahon spent around $50 Million on this campaign.

When the doctor informed Mr. McMahon that Linda had made significant financial investments in her unsuccessful campaign, McMahon abruptly awoke from his sleep. The segment was indeed hilarious; it began with McMahon awakening and finding that the RAW had been turned around. Meanwhile, McMahon’s hospital dress was covered with images from her campaign.

In addition, Mr. McMahon stated he hates politics while discussing this with the doctor, but he concluded by saying that since Linda was running for the US Senate, he would also run to be president of the US. Although it hasn’t happened yet, it will be intriguing to see whether McMahon will actually run for president now that he is retired.

Evoking further interest, the skit ended with Stephanie McMahon waking up from sleep and confirming with her husband Triple H that it was all her weird dream that her father woke up from the coma.

Are Mr. McMahon and Linda still together?

There are additional speculations concerning McMahon because of the accusations that have been made against him. According to speculations, Mr. McMahon and Linda McMahon are no longer living together. On his Wrestling Observer Radio show, Dave Meltzer discussed this issue.

Meltzer made a statement about Vince and Linda McMahon’s relationship. He says that although they have been married for over 50 years; they are no longer together.
