Luke Gallows and Karl Anderson were among the ones released by WWE last month due to the ongoing pandemic. Styles being on SmackDown is surely a treat for the fans.

However, The Phenomenal One has admitted that he is just trying to recover from his loss.

“Doing something different is good for me. I needed a change. Losing Gallows and Anderson really hurt me. Getting away from Raw helps me get over it. I don’t know if I’ll get over it. But it helps change the atmosphere around me and to do something different.

“My whole time on Raw was basically with them. To get away from that and get to SmackDown, where I’ve had a lot of success, it’s a good thing,” said AJ Styles.

Anderson and Gallows have been with Styles for a long time. They have shared countless memories and matches together. Surely, the loss of two close friends is a huge blow for Styles and we only hope he settles in with it soon.

AJ Styles being the helping hand

AJ Styles initially struggled while trying to find his rhythm in the promotion. Therefore, it is only natural that he wants to help his fellow stars.

He says that he is helping out former indie workers such as Ricochet and Cedric Alexander find their way in the business.

“The guys like Ricochet and Cedric Alexander, like I’ve wrestled those guys in the indies. It’s really kind of showing them my support, like guys I get it and trust me, I’ve been there. It may not be in WWE that I’ve been where you’re at right now because sometimes you don’t know where you’re going, what direction they have you go in.

“You have no idea what’s going on, but it is a roller coaster ride, and you just have to ride it and see where it takes you. But if you’re positive and have a good work ethic, then it will benefit you in the long run. You just got to stay at it.

“So I just try to help those guys have a positive attitude because the attitude changes everything. Once your attitude turns sour, your performance turns sour as well,” Styles admits.
