In April 2017, Nikki Bella and Cena got engaged to each other. But after almost one year, the two WWE legends called off their engagement and cancelled their wedding.

Recently, during an interview with ET, Nikki Bella shared her honest feelings about breaking up with Cena. She said, “I think a lot of women get into this situation when it’s like, ‘I love this person, but I don’t know if it’s right for my life,’ and that’s a hard thing. Sometimes we meet amazing people, but we’re just meant to live a different life.”

“I just got this feeling so deep in my gut of, like, ‘I need to walk away.’ And no one thought I would, but it was hitting me so hard. Even though it’s painful and even traumatizing, I just knew it was right,” the WWE Hall of Famer added.

Did Nikki Bella and John Cena part ways on good terms?

People are not always on good terms after calling off their engagements. But in this case, Cena and Nikki Bella had nothing but respect for each other after they called off their engagement. And Nikki Bella’s Instagram post proves that.

Coming to their present lives now. Both Nikki Bella and the leader of Cenation have moved on in life. Nikki Bella is presently engaged to Artem Chigvintsev. And John Cena married Shay Shariatzadeh in 2020.
