“Cut From the Same Cloth”: Dwayne Johnson and Aaron Donald Pay Tribute to Their Respective ‘Old Man’ Ahead of the Rams’ First NFL Game of the Season

NFL 2022 is finally here, and prior to the season, fans saw Hollywood megastar Dwayne Johnson with the defensive tackle of the Los Angeles Rams, last year’s winners. ‘The Rock’ posted a video of himself working out with the Rams star, Aaron Donald, on social media, and superstars across each discipline remarked on how much their old guy had helped them grow.

Before the first game, which will start on September 8th, ‘DJ’ and Donald worked out hard and had fun together while discussing the contributions of their dads and even exchanged their jerseys.

Many people may not know that The Great One wanted to become an NFL player before his illustrious Hollywood and WWE careers. But it didn’t work out. Johnson, nevertheless, has always been passionate about the game and enjoys learning new things about it.

So, he arrived at the Rams Training Facility, where Donald walked DJ through his daily routine in the weight room, where the magic happens.

Donald revealed his father used to bring him up to the basement before school at 4:30 AM so that he could work out. Johnson responded by saying that, like Donald, his ‘old man’ aka father too would do something similar.

‘DJ’ who shared the video noted, “We’re cut from the same cloth: No substitute for hard work & discipline through tough fatherly love,” in his caption.

Before beginning the rigorous workout and displaying their massive physiques, both the legends paid respect to their fathers in the video as they played a massive role the both athlete’s success.

At the end of the workout, Johnson gave Donald gave each other autographed jerseys. However, when Donald revealed his championship ring and Lombardi Trophy after seeing that The Rock was flabbergasted.

He also expressed his best wishes for the future of the NFL player. Indeed, now the performance of the NFL star during the forthcoming season will be exciting to watch.
