Dave Meltzer highlighted that Sane’s injury had nothing to do with Nia Jax, in the latest episode of the Wrestling Observer Radio. Considering that he is correct nine times out of ten, it can be assumed that Nia is not at fault here. Let’s find out the real reason behind Kairi Sane’s injury.

How did Kairi Sane get injured against Nia Jax?

Meltzer pointed out that the Pirate Princess suffered the injury as a result of an accident. She botched a move where she was supposed to go side first into the stairs.

However, she sustained a wound to her head and was instantly incapacitated due to a miscalculation. The match was stopped midway and medics came in to help her get back on her feet. She saw the match through, as she was still in a position to compete.

Despite that, Meltzer did not confirm whether the injury was serious. It is still to be determined if she has suffered a concussion. If that turns out to be the case, WWE will surely pull her out of action no matter how minor it is.

The company has learned its lesson when it comes to concussions because of a history of career-ending injuries that superstars have endured. That’s why there is absolutely no tolerance with respect to concussions.

Coming back to the botched spot, it is still unclear if WWE decides to keep it in the final broadcast. If it’s too brutal, they can easily edit it out as the show is not being telecasted live.

At this moment, we can only hope that Sane recovers quickly. She is way too talented to be kept at the sidelines. Fans are dying to see a program between her Asuka and for the Raw Women’s Championship.
