The Hacker has been a running story since early last month, with fans speculating who it could be under the hood. The most recent appearance of the hacker was after Money in The Bank. He can be seen seated in front of screens, playing a video of several WWE stars in their daily lives.

The first appearance of the hacker was during the lead up to Wrestlemania 36. The Hacker had exposed Dolph Ziggler and Sonya Deville’s schemes to keep Otis and Mandy Rose apart. This directly led to Ziggler and Otis facing off at Wrestlemania and Otis standing victorious.

The identity of the Hacker has been a point of conversation for some time now. Many believe that it’s CM Punk who is the Hacker. This goes with the rebellious persona Punk has created for himself in the WWE, since 2011.

Although, several doubts have been cast if the gigantic return of CM Punk would be attached to what is essentially a side storyline in the WWE. These speculations seem unlikely, considering that the WWE would not bring out a superstar like CM Punk without any fans in the stands.

The biggest name to speculate the Hacker being CM Punk was Mark Henry. The WWE Hall of Famer was of the opinion that this role was perfect to be the point of return for Punk.

”You want the truth? I want to give you the truth, and I’ve been around here watching and I’ve exposed the truth at some small levels. But now I’m going to share the truth on everything.’” said Henry, in a recent interview.

Other theories being thrown up include the one saying that the hacker is two people – Mustafa Ali and Chad Gable. A fan threw more light on this theory with a recent tweet. 

Their voices have been shown before manipulation, and they sound eerily similar to the distorted voice of the hacker.

‘The Hacker’ storyline seems to be an interesting one. It has grabbed fans’ attention in a unique way, and made for a new form of interaction with the WWE, during the global pandemic.
